MY PORTFOLIO

After years of experience as a freelance photographer, I compiled all my notes into a set of documents. This included practical experience, extensive research, and a wealth of wisdom gleaned from various respected professional photographers. I submitted the documents as a manual to the Correspondence College Council of South Africa and got registered first time around as a college. Since then I have enjoyed teaching many others the skills, the art, and the science of photography.

Today I am proud to offer a variety of photography workshops and continue to expand my services and courses. The correspondence course FP101 is available in English or Afrikaans, and also accredited by the ATKV. SA Photo Magazine accredited my course as 'all the technical information one would need to become a freelance photographer'. I also sponsored 10 courses as prizes for the ‘SA Moments’ web site, a Sanlam entrepreneur competition.

As you can see, I'm very passionate about my photography career and enjoy people sharing the same interest - one of valuing life and the beauty of everything that life has to offer.

My recent addition is to include various other fun-filled courses and workshops with skilled coaches to present them either on-site of off-site. This initiative just goes to show that others also believe in what I do just s much as I believe in myself, just as I believe in them.

Kondor Coaching

Even before going to school I have been intrigued by creating images with light, or painting with light. From a young age I made it a goal to become a photographer. On my 21st birthday I got a Yashica camera. Although I started as a hobby photographer, I quickly got invitations to be the official photographer at my work. After a while, I had built up experience in quite a variety of photography genres. Then I entered the formal and challenging world of wedding photography. It's so rewarding to see the beaming faces of the married couples when they collect their wedding albums filled with images and memories of one of the happiest days in their lives.

Now in the digital age, we seldom use film anymore, but rather digital images stored on various types of digital media. Digital images are so much more flexible than printed film, and can easily be incorporated into a digital movie or slide show. The darkroom has been replaced by the computer.

Something very popular these days are Photo Books - coffee table books made from your own unique compilation of images printed on high quality paper, and bound in either hard or soft cover. These make wonderful gifts, and are often used to mark special events like the progress of a pregnancy, a special birthday, a bar mitzvah, a golden wedding anniversary, or special holiday memories.
